Parola tremante nella notte&#8230;&#8221;"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<!-- iframe plugin v.6.0 wordpress.org\/plugins\/iframe\/ -->\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"http:\/\/cba.fro.at\/265778\/embed?&#038;socialmedia=true&#038;title=false&#038;subscribe=true&#038;series_link=true\" width=\"100%\" height=\"250\" style=\"border:none; width:100%; height:250;\" scrolling=\"yes\" class=\"iframe-class\" frameborder=\"0\"><\/iframe>\n\n<p>WWI War Poetry is a very wide topic, much <strong>too vaste to be exhausted<\/strong> in a short radio show: hundreds of texts, many authors and complex cultural backgrounds should be taken into account.<\/p>\n<p>The task could be easier if we limited our task to a single country or even a single author, but this would go <strong>against the purpose of this project<\/strong>. Stimmen aus den Sch\u00fctzengr\u00e4ben is, and must remain, a multilingual show where the lost voices of all Europe merge together in unison. <strong>We want to broaden horizons<\/strong>, not to narrow them down.<\/p>\n<p>The verses we selected are not only written in <strong>different languages<\/strong> but also with<strong> different mastery<\/strong>. Galizien durchmessen.<\/em><br \/>\n<em> Hatte getr\u00e4umt von Alpen, Rhein und Mo(se)l,<\/em><br \/>\n<em> Mu\u00dfte hinaus bis vor Tarnopol<\/em><br \/>\n<em> Hatte gerungen und errungen seinen Stand.<\/em><br \/>\n<em> Lehrer war er geworden im hessischen Land.<\/em><br \/>\n<em> Fern liegt er nun von Mutter und Bruder,<\/em><br \/>\n<em> um zu k\u00e4mpfen gegen das russische Luder.<\/em><br \/>\n<em> Er denkt an die Heimat, an seine Lieben,<\/em><br \/>\n<em> an sein sp\u00e4teres Leben, an den ersehnten Frieden.<\/em><br \/>\n<em> Der Herrgott wird geben ihm seinen Segen,<\/em><br \/>\n<em> Und ihn beschenken auf all seinen Wegen.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The second poem belongs to the collection &#8220;L&#8217;allegria&#8221; (1931) by <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Giuseppe_Ungaretti\"><strong>Giuseppe Ungaretti<\/strong><\/a>, perhaps the most influential Italian poet of the 20th century. &#8220;<strong>Fratelli<\/strong>&#8221; was composed on the 15 July 1916, after one year of war against Austria. Others, on the other hand, kept using conventional meters and forms. The following sonnets were written by <strong>Hans Ehrenbaum<\/strong> (1889-1915), German soldier who died on the Eastern front.<\/p>\n<p>The sonnets were\u00a0kindly made available by the Brenner-Archiv (<strong>Universit\u00e4t Innsbruck<\/strong>). The poem belongs to the collection &#8220;<strong>La Symphonie Hero\u00efque<\/strong>&#8221; (1921), written in the form of a symphony.
